inmarket Report post Posted October 3, 2017 It is likely that version of studio has now expired. It was only ever released as beta and we are now a few days away from announcing a new beta program for a significantly upgraded stdio. If you are interested in being part of the new stdio beta program please send a private message to @Joel Bodenmann. When the beta program is released he will then send you details on how to enroll and what is required to be a participant in that program.
ForTest Report post Posted October 3, 2017 We are certainly interested in the new beta But at the moment it's more important to have a working version of the Studio So how can we do it?
Joel Bodenmann Report post Posted October 3, 2017 Officially we haven't planed on updating the current version of the studio which means that the now expired version would stay expired. After all that is one of the many reasons why there are two notes that inform that the µGFX-Studio shouldn't be used in a productive environment We'll discuss this internally. Mih_Mih Report post Posted October 3, 2017 I am very upset, all work has stopped, even though it is not commercial. When to wait for the new version?
Joel Bodenmann Report post Posted October 3, 2017 Hello @Mih_Mih and welcome to the µGFX community! There are multiple messages both prior to downloading and also while using the application that clearly inform the user that the µGFX-Studio is just a test. It was always clear that it might be gone at some point or that projects will be incompatible between versions. We learned a lot from writing the µGFX-Studio just up to version v0.15. We learned so much that we decided to restart from scratch and that is where v0.20 comes into play. It's a complete rewrite with a completely new technique being used (watch the preview video if you're interested). It simply wouldn't be economical for us to keep updating v0.15. The v0.20 version will be made available this week. Keep in mind that this is all just regarding the µGFX-Studio. The µGFX library itself is completely unaffected by this. There's literally nothing that keeps you from continuing your project. Given the very small set of features that the µGFX-Studio currently has to offer, you'd most likely have hit a wall already that required you to write code manually. Mih_Mih Report post Posted October 4, 2017 Hello, Joel Bodenmann!! Thank you very much, for the information. I'm looking forward to the release of the new µGFX-Studio. Will it be on the download site v0.15 ? Sorry for my bad English!
inmarket Report post Posted October 4, 2017 It will be released as part of a beta program. The beta program will have reporting requirements. uGFX-Studio, when finally released after the beta program, is likely to be a paid product. We may also release a more restrictive free version. The reason for this is simple, there has been a tremendous amount of development effort put into studio and that has obviously cost us a lot. uGFX-Studio will not be expensive but the cost recovery will help us develop other new uGFX related products and features. More details will be announced very soon. As always the non-commercial use of the uGFX library itself will remain free.

ForTest Report post Posted October 11, 2017 Image to array conversion function present in 0.15 was very important (like the font converter that is available online) Do you think to provide the same function online?
Joel Bodenmann Report post Posted October 11, 2017 µGFX-Studo v0.20 does that already as well. No need for v0.15 anymore. Also, no need for the µGFX-Studio at all for that: https://wiki.ugfx.io/index.php/ROMFS
